Environmental protection efforts focus on two main areas: cliff defense and sewage control. Restoration projects are active to counteract the erosion action of the sea, wind and rain and to rebuild cliff damage where necessary. Sewage and runoff water are tightly controlled in Canoa Quebrada and strict rules are in place for their appropriate treatment and disposal to guarantee a pristine beach environment.

The Lazy Days tent is only a few minutes walk from most of Canoa Quebrada's pousadas. Or contact your local connection to inquire about renting a buggy or hiring a taxi, which can be a little bit difficult at night in Canoa Quebrada.
